Then, Scotty killing Shelley? CLOSE ENOUGH! That's Shelly's possessed corpse, chopped up and oozing on the floor. And he did it with the ax. In the Living Room. And Colonel Mustard watched from the linen closet.

What the hell kinda hand is touching that head? It's like...green and Frankenstein-ish.
And the head looks like Christopher Lee's...

Then it's either The Exterminator or Gargoyles, those are the only ones I know of that are earlier than The Thing.

More recent that Gargoyles. Not the other you mentioned.
The film is touted as "From the writers of Alien..."

Damn it, Dead and Buried. I should've known. I keep thinking Thing is 81 and Dead and Buried is 82, but it's the other way around.

Dead & Buried is it.
Now what's the scene?
(Funny thing, I just double-checked to make sure I had the years for Dead & Buried and the Thing right in my head!)

I'm gonna say it's the scene where the patient gets his eye poked by the nurse in the morgue.

I'm gonna say it's the scene where the patient gets his eye poked by the nurse in the morgue. That's no hospital in that picture. Look closer. But you got the right guy...
