While I love the Gremlins, I'm voting for those most eatering of little devils, the Critters. It was one of those rare horror films that my Mom wouldn't let us watch and we had to watch it all sneakily at another kid's house.
Hobgoblins, by the way, I saw in Mystery Science Theater 3000. And it sucked.

The Critters for me, too - I liked the first movie in the series more than the first Gremlins (though it was very good, too), and the second more than Gremlins 2 (which was kinda weak); so what that Critters 3 and, especially, 4 were much poorer?

GREMLINS Just thought it was easily the best movie out of the ones listed. Um, that I've actually seen. Quite a few of them, actually. And come on. Who doesn't love Gizmo? ;D

I loved Gizmo in the first Gremlins. In the second it all became too OTT - Gizmo as Rambo? Come on all!

Who doesn't love Gizmo? ;D That big ball-o-critters in part 2 is what helped my decision. Not even the Brain gremlin or spider-stripe could beat that. And spider-stripe was fuckin cool.

Can you believe I never saw a Leprechaun movie, though? This is a shame, especially since two of them (I think) were directed by my underground fave - Brian Trenchard-Smith. Leprechaun In Da Hood? Who could resist THAT?

Who could resist THAT? I can resist that--expecially knowing that there are two movies of him "in da hood."

I can resist that--expecially knowing that there are two movies of him "in da hood." Well, *I* can't wait to see both Da Hood's. AND the one In Space as well. It's just that they're not anywhere around... But I'll be damned if I don't catch'em sooner or later!

Lep 4 in Space is just awful. I don't understand why anyone thinks that taking a "slasher killer movie" into space is a good idea. But it is entertaining in it's glorious awfulness. Especially the ending--god what crap--but so, so funny! I never saw the Hood ones. I stopped after part 4. Part one is the only really decent one (and it has Jennifer Aniston in it), parts 2 and 3 are tolerable--to a point. Part 4, though, really is one of those films that's so crappy it's actually kinda fun to watch.

LEPRECHAUN!!!
In the first movie (the only one I've seen), he hops on a triycle in lest than 2 seconds and rides it around in circles really fast, jumps on a guy with a pogo stick in slo-mo, and rides a toy car on a major road. How cool is that?

Went with Gremlins too because I have a soft-spot for that movie. It's fun!
Coming in a close second is the awful Leprecaun series - I've seen them all somehow (it seems like one is on cable every weekend!) and they all are amusing in their own way. Plus the make-up effects aren't too bad. Even the one in space had good make-up!

Nice to see a vote finally go for something other than Gremlins or Critters.
Come on people, nobody likes Troll??? Should really be surprised? Come on, Sonny Bono is in the first one and so is Julia Louis-Dreyfus!

Hey, I love Julia! Will have to catch this one as well - the hunt for Leprechauns has already begun.
