Beowolf is still a month away? I thought that was coming in just a week or so...
He should stick with Cloverfield. I like the way that sounds.

I finally saw Cloverfield a couple weeks ago and despite the camera movement coming close to giving me the motion sickness (thank you Dramamine), I loved it. The special effects were outstanding and they made a giant monster movie something that works in Hollywood again.
However, I have to say, I think I'd like to see a sequel that moves on more like a traditional film kind of the way Blair Witch 2 evolved beyond the first film.

I thought it was absolutely terrible. You don't see the monster at all, you get maybe 15 seconds of it in anything resembling a clear shot and a grand total of maybe five minutes where you can tell it's on-screen, the shortage of attacks means that we have to spend time with the humans who are the wrong way to go about it in a giant monster movie and frankly, the rest of the film never swayed me over to it at all. The infection, the military headquarters, the scenes of panic, none of it were of any interest, and as a whole, this was just a pathetic waste.
