I remember a bunch of these... truth be told they are mostly the same thing, but kinda fun to watch.

Open water 2 isn't really a shark film, as there are no sharks in it. It's a sequel to Open water in that it has the same basic situation (in this case, a group of people are stranded in open waters when they dive off a yatch but forget to pull down the ladder), but goes in a different route.

Oh, whoops. I was using IMDb for that list and it came up when I did a keyword search while I was checking on the foreign titles, so either someone goofed and put it in there simply because of the title connection to the first one or something, but as I haven't seen it, I couldn't say beforehand.

I should also mention that there's 4 shark films in production that aren't listed since they haven't been finished yet and I'll officially add them when they are:

Super Shark-A Jim Wynorski effort intended for the Sci-Fi Channel in 2011 as one of their weekly creature feature efforts.

Swamp Shark-I don't know much about this one, only that it involves a killer species of shark being smuggled into the US for a fish collector that escapes and begins stalking an expanse of water in a small town. I'm guessing Direct-to-Video here, but it could be a Sci-Fi entry.

Shark Night-A film intended to go to theaters in 3D, directed by the guy behind the Final Destination franchise but again, I don't know much about it.

And we also have the long-delayed Meg, based off the book of the same name, still listed as going to theaters sometime in 2011 as well. So those will be added soon, but I can't officially do that yet since they're not released or even completed yet.

That's most likely it, it was on the list because it's a sequel.

The Meg thing intrigues me, what's it about or who wrote the book?

Steve Alten did the novel.

Plot taken directly from the author's own words:
Seven years ago, navy deep-sea pilot JONAS TAYLOR found himself on a top-secret dive in the Mariana Trench, the deepest, most unexplored realm in the ocean. Seven miles down he came face-to-face with the most fearsome predator ever to inhabit the planet - Carcharodon Megalodon- the 70-foot 60,000 pound prehistoric cousin of the great white shark. Rushing his submersible topside, he barely escaped, but his actions cost the lives of the two scientists on-board the vessel, as well as his career, the Navy dismissing his claims as mere "aberrations of the deep." When an opportunity to return to the Mariana Trench presents itself, Jonas takes it, intent on returning topside with a 7-inch white tooth. But man's presence in this unexplored domain releases one of the sharks from its purgatory - a pregnant female - and now the hunt is on!

No problem, man. It's supposed to be a rousing, high-energy affair, and they're taking so long to get it done because they're trying to recreate the atmosphere and action from the novel, so I'm thinking it'll be one of the best Megalodon ones.
