Yeah, this could've been much better! The CGI-werewolf and the mild tone of the film were the main problems with Cursed; and who wouldn't like to see Heather Langenkamp, Robert Forster and, um, Corey Feldman?

Like I said, Bart, that was what I wanted to see. It could've been this generation's Wolfen, but instead it turns out to be something completely different.

My husband Netflixed this film and we watched the "unrated" version.
I had seen bits and pieces but hadn't sat through the whole thing.
It was.....BORING.
I mean, not total crap or anything, but I really think the movie is for 12-year old girls. It's hardly sophisticated, the gore was all CGI, and the story...meh. I can see a bunch of tweens watching it during a slumber party squealing at all the "jump" scenes. For me, I didn't jump once. You can tell it's cut to bits and has been re-edited quite a bit, which bothered me as well.
4/10 for me.

If you want a newer generation werewolf film, go with Dog Soldiers or The Beast of Bray Road. Much better, loads of action and much gorier.

Looks like we all agree on this - boring, predictable, not shocking in the least. And it came from the director/screenwriter team that made Scream...

I think I liked it the most out of those on here, but it's still not in the upper echelons of the genre.

Even more so now that you know why I think he's the most overrated of all the original "Masters of Horror." He got lucky a couple of times but has turned out a steady stream of mediocrity or outright crap for him to be considered all that he is by the horror community.
