There are like, no baseball fans here are there?
I mean, last night was only the closing game of the World Series.
Our Rockies lost, but that's what I always expected. It's not that they sucked, it's that they reverted back to normalcy.

Didn't watch a single game of the World Series. Just didn't care about either team. Unlike last year when the Tigers were in it and I even attended one of the games.
The only shows I watched this whole weekend:
LEGION OF SUPERHEROES on Saturday DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES on Sunday

They were too hot and Colorado was just lucky they made it. Never stood a chance.

Fuck who wins, it's about the game isn't it? And for your information, the Rockies weren't lucky they made it, they did, if you look at the record, have a pretty good season, especially for the Rockies, which, if you've ever followed or even so much as looked at, you'd find that whenever we score several runs, it's a fairly good game. And it's not really luck when they make it all the way to the series, don't you think? And that they only lost 5 games from, what? September on, when they actually start counting them, and four of those losses were in the World Series. Not too shabby. I find it funny so many people are blowing gaskets about the Rockies. They just couldn't handle the Red Sox, and they played like the Rockies always do. Not a big deal, but the Broncos made it to the Super Bowl several times before winning, too, so I think there's hope. Still, it doesn't stop us from having Barney's gay sister as our mascot. I really hate that thing. Funny thing, though, I never really started getting into baseball before I read Michael Chabon and Don DeLillo. Go figure.

The thing, when it's a predetermined outcome who will win, there's no reason too since all that changes is what's the score going to be. If you look at the 2002 series between the Angels and Giants, you didn't really know who was going to win. That one there was a fun series because it was full of unexpected moments that kept building and adding up, and the result was a fun series that still holds up. You need a little excitement in the series to make it watchable, and knowing that one team will sweep isn't that.

There are like, no baseball fans here are there? Sorry, I only watch football (religiously) and basketball (college) every once in a great while and usually only the Razorbacks. Ghost Whisperer Moonlight Numbers Life Digging For The Truth Law & Order: CI Sunday some of the Colts game and last night some of the Packers/Broncos.
