Watched a lot of the performances from the Live Earth concerts today, full sets of some & highlights they showed of others...Duran Duran, Genesis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Linkin Park, David Grey, Blue Man Group, Metallica, Snoop Dog, XZibit, Keith Urban, Ludacris, Spinal Tap, Beastie Boys, Jon Mayer, Foo Fighters(kicked ass!), Alicia Keys, Dave Matthews, Cat Stevens(Wild World), Chris Cornell (Black Hole Sun), Bon Jovi (great as usual), Smashing Pumpkins, Roger Waters, Lenny Kravitz(Are You Gonna Go My Way), The Police...and probably some more that I'm forgetting right now. When it comes out on DVD it'll go on my Netflix list so I can see the full sets that they didn't show on TV.

Still watching Big Love, John From Cincinatti, Entourage, and Flight of the Conchords. Trying to watch The Loop. Also watching that new show on USA called Burn Notice. Great show. And if that's not enough for you, Bruce Campbell is one of the leads.

Some taped stuff from this past week: The Dead Zone Big Love Burn Notice and... MOH: Pelts (Argento)1/4- Bleh...good gore, but that's about it.

Spielberg on Spielberg -- really good documentary in the same line as Scorsese on Scorsese where Spielberg breaks his silence and talks about his movies and their affects and that kind of stuff. I liked his defense on the "AI" film, which I do love a lot, and how he immediatley gets the backlash (I'd like to hear his defense for the ending of "War of the Worlds") and his awareness of the controversy surronding much of his stuff, as well as all the personal effects of his movies. The man's a genius and it's a fascinating look on a more personal level than any DVD documentary.
On the Lot -- I only watched the second half due to Spielberg on Spielberg.

Damn, I meant to watch that SPIELBERG ON SPIELBERG! Gonna have to try to catch a rerun. Recently watched: EBERT & ROEPER (Best of 2007 so far. Some of the films that made the two separate lists included GRINDHOUSE, 300 and KNOCKED UP.) THE UNIVERSE - "THE END OF THE EARTH: DEEP SPACE THREATS TO OUR PLANET" (Watch for major asteroids around 2029 to possibly take us out unless we can develop the technology to effectively prevent that.) And for some animated fun: LEGION OF SUPERHEROES THE BATMAN

Watch for major asteroids around 2029 to possibly take us out unless we can develop the technology to effectively prevent that. Or, we could start making allies with China... I watched the Home Run Derby.

I caught the Speilberg on Spielberg. It was actually really good. I was surprised that he gave so much credit to other people - I always thought he was a bit pompous. His defense of AI was good too - I'm not a fan of that movie but I accept his explanations and can appreciate it better.
