I just watched the two-night four-hour season premiere of 24 in 192 minutes and you didn't. I was blown away. I wasn't blown away (I guess the formula is getting a little stale for me) but I was still entertained. I can't believe this is the sixth season! This weekend I also watched all the play-off games off and on. Plus, Demetri Martin: Person on comedy central.

Part 2 of the Season Premiere: good stuff again, liked last night better but the second best twist of the entire series.
Phoneix, thinking back . . . yeah, 24 has its formula but I think you just have to accept it to enjoy it. I probably wasn't blown away by part one but just the excitement of having 24 back!

VH1 CLASSIC CONCERT- JUDAS PRIEST: RISING IN THE EAST (2006) Not bad for a bunch of leather-clad geezers. Halford can still outsing almost anyone in rock and the band sounds as tight as ever. But I guess they better after so many years together. LOUIS C.K.: SHAMELESS (2007) New stand-up performance from the star of HBO's "Lucky Louie". Verdict? Hilarious! So much of his material was kinda "taboo", but freakin' funny. My wife and I laughed our asses off. And if you don't think this show is funny, suck a bag of dicks.

The Golden Globes
I really enjoyed the Warren Beatty tribute, including Tom Hanks' entertaining speech. Overall, it was a decent awards show. Didn't agree with everything that won, but there weren't many major disagreements (with the exception of Best Original Song - I sincerely thought the Happy Feet song was filler material, and the fact that it won was absolutely ridiculous, considering there were far more meaningful songs on the ballot). Did not like how the Queen took Best Screenplay over the Departed, and it bothered me how Helen Mirren got two awards for playing a queen (although she really deserved it for The Queen). Glad to see Scorsese get Best Director, and hope to see him finally get the Oscar that's been coming to him for quite some time.

Yea, I agree you have to accept the formula, I just can't believe that it's worked so well for six years!. AND last nights two hours was pretty great! I was SHOCKED by the ending! Poor Curtis.

The Golden Globe Awards Good show, some surprises and great speeches from Hugh Laurie, Meryl Streep, and Warren Beatty. Don't forget Sacha Baron Cohen... that was one of the greatest acceptance speeches in recent memory.
