I love that episode of ItAS with Williams. Absolutely hysterical, but actually is very helpful at the same time.

I watched NOVA on PBS for the first time since....I dunno when! It was about finding a full skeleton of a marsupial lion in Australia. Actually, very cool & interesting stuff.

2007 MTV MOVIE AWARDS Caught the hundredth rerun of this yesterday. The first time I've watched an entire episode of this awards show in many, many years. Sarah Silverman was a pretty funny host. Slamming Paris Hilton in her opening monologue with Paris sitting right there looking like she wasn't sure how to react. Very uncomfortable, but funny. The nice thing about watching it this time was the assistance of my dvr. As soon as JayZ is announced as a performer and he starts rapping, "Awe yea...", I'm on that fastforward button. The same usual silly awards, Best Kiss goes to Will Ferrell and Sacha Baron Cohen in TALLADEGA NIGHTS, who of course have to recreate it onstage. Didn't see that one coming! Best Summer Film You Haven't Seen Yet goes to TRANSFORMERS. What kind of ridiculous category is that?? Nicholson won best Villain for THE DEPARTED, but was too sloshed to say anything really coherent. Ah, good old Jack. Best Actor and Best Film went to Johnny Depp and PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST. Depp was actually on hand to receive his award, which was cool, but considering he just made about $90 Million from his PIRATES' deal, I guess he figures it's the least he can do. Best fan-made film spoof went to some guy who mixed UNITED 93 with 300, to get UNITED 300. A group of Germans try to hijack a plane and are thwarted by the Spartan army who just happen to be onboard. Love the Spartan trying to stow his shield in the overhead compartment. Pretty funny stuff. Overall, watching it on the dvr made it a much better experience. I fast forwarded through the commercials and the crappy musical numbers.

I loved United 300.
"We are taking this plane...TO GERMANY!!!" "Then tonight, we dine in Cleveland!"

BURY MY HEART AT WOUNDED KNEE (2007) (Made for TV Movie on HBO)
Covers the plight of the Sioux from their victory over General Custer at Little Big Horn to the massacre of hundreds of Indians, including women and children, by the 7th Cavalry at Wounded Knee Creek. Not DANCES WITH WOLVES, but very good nonetheless.
8/10
EBERT & ROEPER (Two thumbs down for EVAN ALMIGHTY, two thumbs up for SICKO and for YOU KILL ME.)
