Got around to watching LOST: THE ANSWERS on Friday night on the dvr. Just a recap show, but I like these because you get to see all the highlights of the series compressed to an hour or so. So much has happened that I'd already forgotten.

The Simpsons -- Episode One: Dead-on parody of "24", complete with moles, beaurocrats [sic], rouge agents, phone conversations, and everything doing something to work out in the end. I especially liked the ending when the nuke goes off and Jack Bauer says, "Relax, that was Shelbyville."
Episode Two: Another good episode and a perfect satire of the spinless newsmedia today, also brings out the interesting point about Fox, the Network who's full of liberal shows ("The Simpsons", "House", etc) and the News Channel, which is far right propoganda. The Edward R. Murrow touch was brilliant.
Great way to end the season!

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (Great season finale with the apparent suicide of a major character.) THE SOPRANOS (Another excellent episode as they get ready to wind up the series. 2 more to go.) EBERT & ROEPER (SHREK THE THIRD, two thumbs down. ONCE, two thumbs up.)

THE SOPRANOS (Another excellent episode as they get ready to wind up the series. 2 more to go.) Yeah, and we have to wait two weeks b/c it's not on this Sunday b/c of the holiday weekend! Last night: The Sopranos on History Channel: Rogue Wave Apocalypse (or whatever the special was called about the world ending in 2012...)

24 -- now that was a season finale. First off, great action sequences and great suspence all around, and the last 30 minutes were a godsend because now pretty much everything's been cleared up and now the producers and whoever have a clean slate to make next season wicked awesome.
SPOILERS PROBABLY
How does this compare to the other seasons? Well, I think until the plot twist about 18, 19 hours in, this season was going great. The terrorists were winning, a nuke went off, then...boom!...it ended and they brought back the Chinese and Audrey. Spectacular action sequences all around though, even in the weaker parts. I would put it over last season, but not in the top 3 (which I'd say got 2, 3, 1).
Now, I can't wait till Januray 2008!
