From TV Shows on DVD.Com:
Happy Happy, Joy Joy! Ren and Stimpy fans who missed out on last year's Time-Life offerings can rejoice! Paramount has quietly let retailers know that Ren and Stimpy - The Complete 1st & 2nd Seasons will be available to sell in-stores on October 12!
Over 30 episodes will be present on this release. For those of us who managed to get the short-lived direct sale offering before Time-Life's rights (quickly) expired, there's still good reason to also get the new set. Besides 10 episodes that weren't on the old discs, Paramount's release will also have these extras:
* Audio Commentary * Featurette * Image Gallery
Neat add-ons that make it worth adding this to your collection, eh? Something else that would make it worthwhile is if these turn out to be the completely unedited versions of each short. As an example, in the episode "Powdered Toastman", a document is burned in the fireplace, making a joke out of the ignorance of "PTM" when he unwittingly shoves it in. Originally the paper was identifiable as the U.S. Constitution by the words "We The People" at the top, but on the Time-Life DVDs it is only a blank piece of paper. This is just one example of the edits this show has seen, both for broadcast and on the old DVDs. C'mon, Paramount...give us the unedited, original versions of each cartoon!
Cool! Any other Ren & Stimpy fans here?

I don't even know what Ren And Stimpy is! Another one that didn't make it to Poland, huh? Knowing your taste in cartoons, ie: Family Guy, Beavis & Butthead, Simpsons, etc., you'd probably like it.

From TVShowsOnDVD: Uncut or Not? The Cover Art Reveals the Answer! To fans of "Ren & Stimpy", the main complaint has been how chopped up the episodes have become, with cuts and re-cuts to make these cartoons more politically correct. Will the new DVD be any better? Well, we have the answer...the cover art gives it away, plain as day! We have that art, plus full details about this release. You'll find it first in the news section of TVShowsOnDVD. From TVShowsOnDvd.Com: The Ren and Stimpy Show - Cuts to the episodes in the set? John K responds... Posted by Gord Lacey 10/06/2004
If you've been visiting various Ren & Stimpy fan sites you may have heard that there are cuts to the episodes in the box set. We contacted Paramount to get the story, and they contacted John K and sent us his response:
Subject: "R&S DVD was produced by John K. Buy It you eediots!"
Hey folks
I'm as surprised as you are that there are still some edits in the cartoons. Blame Nickelodeon years ago! Don't blame the producers of the DVD.
We put back every scene that I was aware was missing. Nick must have cut more scenes out long after I stopped watching the show.
But, we put a lot of cool stuff back in that no one ever saw-scenes from Sven Hoek that never aired-George Liquor's bobbed tail in Dog Show-hey all of Man's Best Friend!
We also did lots of commentaries over the cartoons and there are interviews with me and Eddie Fitzgerald, there is original artwork.
Buy this damn thing. I put in as much cool stuff as I could for you. Buy it and maybe Spike will order new episodes!
Maybe I will consult with you to restore the episodes you found that still has cuts and we'll put the missing scenes on a website for you, or run them ouncut on Spkie.
If every show is not completely intact it's because long ago Nick misplaced or lost the originals, but I restored the ones I knew had cuts, ok?
So if you review the set on Amazon, say it's great and and talk about the good stuff first! Then you can mention that there are still some edits, but it's definitely worth getting!
Maybe we can have a chat about it tomorrow night if someone contacts me to set it up.
Your pal,
John K.Eh, I'm still getting it. Obviously any cuts are out of John K.'s hands.

Indeed, a few cuts to some episodes won't bother me as I wasn't in the right state of mind in the first place while watching this show. ;D

I don't think I'd even recognize if there were cuts either and I was sober when I watched them! I have a bad memory when it comes to cartoons. I didn't even realize the DVDs were coming out. So in honor here is a pic of Stimpy (Heineken can't have all the fun putting up cool figure pics!):
