As a semi-fan of Zombie, I'll take your word for it. The word of a full-fledged fan is always good. ;D And I understand what you're saying about likes & dislikes about House. It's not the best horror movie I've ever seen, far from it, but it's just one of those movies I like when I'm in the mood for some mindless entertainment & some gore. I watched the making-of documentary of TDR the other day & Both Bill Moseley ("Otis") & Sheri ("Baby") commented that this movie disturbed them more than House did, b/c psychologically it was much darker. A couple of scenes in particular they had a hard time getting through. And by the way...we're gonna have to talk about this not liking Tarantino thing. ;D

I get a lot of beef with that one, so it shouldn't be new to me, LDG. ;D

Well, in case you guys didn't know already, I'm not a general movie fan, I'm a horror fan more than anything, and will occasionally imbibe in an Action, 50's Monster film or Spaghetti Western film as well, and really don't view too much beyond those genres. Tarantino is just too talky for me and I feel his movies are just too overrated for me to constantly sit through them and enjoy them. The ones of his I've seen have just bored me, so I don't think he's all that great of a director.

You should expand your horizons. Well, honestly, I think it'll probably happen naturally for you as you get older. Kind of like "film puberty".

Hey, that happened to me. When I was 16, my favorite movies were Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within and anything comedic. Funny how many of those comedic movies don't even make me laugh that much anymore, and while I respect Final Fantasy tremendously (excellent animation), it is nowhere near my top 10. Or my top 100.

It probably will. I have nowhere near the same movie tastes I do know as I did five years ago (I wasn't into horror at all five years ago, it took a while to set in) so maybe by the time I hit my late-20s, I'll be a full-fledged movie fan who has a strong liking towards horror. We'll have to see.

Well, in case you guys didn't know already, I'm not a general movie fan, I'm a horror fan more than anything,. Really?? I never woulda guessed it! ;D But seriously...I'm primarily a horror fan too ( have been since I was wee child & my mom let me watch Dark Shadows for some unexplainable reason... ) but I like actions & dramas too. The occasional comedy EVERY once in awhile. You said you didn't like Tarantino movies b/c they're too "talky"...the dialogue is what I like best about his movies, it's usually pretty refreshing. But hey, to each their own. If everyone liked the same things the world would be dull. And I'm not the kind to get on the soapbox & preach that everyone should lile everything that I do. ;D Actually those kind of people are REALLY annoying...

Exactly right. I know from experience that in time, I probably will broaden my horizens to include more films in my diet. I know I don't have the same tastes I did 5 years ago, so I will change by then, and who knows: I could be the biggest Tarantino fan by then. I never know.
