Okay guys calm down!!
What do I need to do, remind everyone that I still haven't seen the Godfather trilogy, Rocky series, Rambo Trilogy or Titanic to halt this conversation before it turns into a monkey-shit-flinging-free-for-all?
Silly people!
While I enjoy watching these (slasher) films, I would only consider the first to be Movie Police worthy, and only the first three really important in any way.
Here's why:
Part One: Got the series going, Slasher genre sprang to life. Part Two: Jason the killer introduced. Part Three: Jason finally dons famous hockey mask.
The rest is filler--almost like episodes of a TV series until Jason Goes to Hell which completely changed the series and Freddy Vs. Jason which was finally something new again.
For as much as I love horror films, I don't especially want it filled to the brim with horror films. Luckily, 42nd is always ready to bring us some Grindhouse (still don't know specifically what that is) or Asian Exploitation films or some other underground wackiness most of us might not be familiar with. And everyone is encouraged to put in their 2 cents on pretty much any movie they want. I try to read 'em all, so don't worry about someone maybe not reading your review. Plus, until Slayrrr came aboard, I had the most "unread" (no responses) reviews, anyway. I still might have the most.
Play nice! Don't make me quote Rodney "high as a kite" King!!

All right. I'll call truce, but since Heiny not's here, it's not much of a choice that I'm first to say so.

Heineken,
The sequels as you probably know, read, seen trailers for, are merely nothing more than popcorn flicks with a bit of grated cheese toppings. ;D
I think each flick in the series is only 90 minutes long. Each victim dies a different way. (correct me here someone.. if I'm wrong) Some of the characters of certain sequels actually crack me up. Some famous quotes. Here is one that comes to mind. Can't remember which sequel this one is from as most blend in together quite nice. An old hag answers the door with this - "Who the Fuck are You & What the Fuck do You Want?". Pointless yes, but funny as heck. Too bad not all had a comedic character, but this one had me laughing out loud, something I never do with current comedies.
As for the Horror element in "Review Hell", it is a bit overwhelming guys & gals.

My wife and I had to be the loudest people in that theater. Fucking hilarious. "Oh yeah, well, know how I know you're gay? You have a rainbow sticker on your car that says I like balls in my face!" "That's gay?" I can't wait to see the extended version.

I'm pretty sure most die differently, but I do know there are several decapitations and throat slittings, and then where the machete/sharp object is stabbed into the body maybe different.
I think that one's from Part 5, as she is the only one I remember having an old hag. All the reviews are up for the series now, so we can't complain there isn't any way to seperate them.
I'll try not to post anymore Horror reviews for a while then. Soiund okay Term?

Haven't seen any of these in ages, but I do remember them reasonably well, and I'll get the box set at some point. I'd call these films guilty pleasures really,I wouldn't say even the first one is a classic, but I'll take it over Scream any day. I've always found the first one an average start to the series-some sequels were better, some weren't. I do remember jumping like hell at the end on the lake-it remains a classic 'jump' moment.

These are certainly classic guilty pleasures if ever the term needed a poster child.
