Good luck finding it. Sometimes you have to dig deep in the bin to find something good. The Blob (1988) was only in there for less than a month. Creepshow comes and goes. Right now, Cabin Fever, Leatherface: TCMIII, X-Files: The Movie, and the Naked Gun movies have found their way to the bin.
My wife was pissed--she spent $15 on Cabin Fever. But that's how it goes, every movie drops in price around the 6-month mark, then again after another 6-9 months. Generally. American History X took a few years to drop from $15 to $9.99.... Oh, Apt Pupil was in that bin for a while, too. A lot of those movies you like, Python, Boa vs. Python, that kind of stuff usually litters the $5 bin. Avoid The Bone Snatchers. It's lame and pretty dull.

Uh oh, there goes Bart and his ravings about DePalma again. Just kidding. DePalma does borrow a lot from Hitchcock, anyone who has seen enough of of their films can see that, but he's also done enough original things in his career to safely say that he's not just a Hitchcock rip-off artist. Though sometimes I do think he does go off the deep end story-wise, the man's filmography has certainly gone beyond just paying homages to one of his idols. When the Rolling Stones first came on the scene they were looked at as a rip-off of The Beatles. Then years later Aerosmith were looked at as a rip-off of the Rolling Stones and then some more years later, Guns N' Roses were looked at as the bastard sons of Aerosmith. Everybody's got their influences, right?

Everybody's got their influences, right? I totally agree. It's something that you like that you take with you when you want to get involved in the same industry. Even in movies: is every single zombie movie a rip-off of Romero? No, they are just influenced by Romero and then inject some new twist on it. True, some are downright ripoffs, but most aren't. You can see his influence, but not all zombie films are Romero rip-offs.
