[TOTAL EDIT:]
Hey everyone, if you want to request someone to do a review, or request a movie to be reviewed, post in here.
But more importantly:
IF ONE WISHES TO CALL "DIBS" ON A FILM REVIEW, DO IT IN HERE.
Now, that doesn't stop anyone from sticking their own review in the thread. But calling "dibs" means you may have the only review, but certainly, you will have the first.
So, when "Harry Potter XVI: Revenge of Dingledorf on the Mountain of Eternal Pestilence" is coming out and Pulpmariachi wants to call dibs on first reviewsies, he may call dibs here. If Smitty wants to put to shame the next Cronenberg film bashing teenagers before anyone else praises it--he may do so here!! If Slayrrr wants to give blatantly high marks to cheesefest, "Friday the 13th Part 76: Nightmare on Halloween at Camp Crystal Lake--with Chucky!"--he calls dibs here!! If 42nd wants to be the first to review the latest Hong Kong sexploitation cinema psuedo-porn film with rabies-infested orgy--while he may have little trouble in being first--he may genuinely secure his status of "first to review" right fucking here!!
I will not grant dibs to ass-kissers, only first-posters. And, of course, no one has to do this for every film released because a lot of them will be obviously reviewed by obvious people first. Obviously, I'll be the first to review the next slap-happy Neo-Nazi romp. Slayrrr will be the first to review that repulsive indie horror flick with a cover so bad you dare not look directly at it when you're in Blockbuster. And I think we all know better than to try to review a DePalma film before Bart has his say!
Here are the few guidelines on calling dibs (groan! rules?!):
---Try to wait to within a month of the film's release--we don't need people calling "Dibs" on a film that barely exists past the treatment stage.
---Don't call dibs on more than one movie at a time.
Oh hey, that wasn't so bad!
Play nice, kids!!
